Invited Lectures on the Global Regulatory Framework of Food Supplements

Two invited lecturers contributed to the curricular unit Regulatory Framework of Non-Drug Products during the HYGIEIA Erasmus Mundus Joint Master semester at Universidade Lusófona.

Maria João Campos, nutritionist, pharmacist, and invited lecturer at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Coimbra, and Sladjana Sobajic, President of the Serbian Nutrition Society, shared their expertise on the regulation of food supplements. Their lectures addressed the essential elements of the global regulatory framework for food supplements, while also highlighting current challenges in this rapidly evolving field.

These contributions offered students valuable perspectives on regulatory requirements, safety considerations, and the complexity of ensuring quality and compliance across different markets.
